
Yvon Corriveau has 20 Years of professional hockey experience, including 1200 games from 1985 - 2005. As a Junior A player, he played with the Toronto Marlies (OHL), and was a member of Team Canada, highlighted in the World Junior Championship in Piestany, Czechoslovakia alongside fan favorites Brendan Shanahan, Pierre Turgeon, Steve Chiasson, Theron Fluery, and Jimmy Waite.
Yvon was drafted to the Washington Capitals, NHL - first round - in 1985. He played 360 regular season NHL games with the Washington Capitals, the Hartford Whalers and the San Jose Sharks, and participated in 50 NHL playoff games. In addition, he played 430 regular season IHL and AHL games, being part of teams that won the both the Calder Cup and Turner Cup. He continued his career playing in over 400 games in the DEL (Deutsche Elite League) in Berlin, Germany.
Since his retirement in 2005, Yvon has successfully transitioned into a top youth coach in demand from near and far for his outstanding teaching abilities.
SCOTT TREVETHAN - DIRECTOR
"Coach Scott", as he is known, has 22 years of coaching athletics from young beginners to the highly skilled collegiate level. His coaching background includes successes in tennis, baseball, and of course hockey. He has been on 4 Boards of Directors of various Sports organizations. A number of students that Scott has worked with have gone onto highly successful college and professional sports careers. He believes that clear communication, positive reinforcement, and consistent repetition are the cornerstones of his coaching style. "Each child has a special talent; it is our job as coaches to find it, develop it, and help the athlete reach their potential." During his playing days, Scott played hockey for various organizations in Connecticut as a goalie. Scott also played Division 1 college tennis and advanced to play two seasons in professional mini tour events. He has spent the last 10 years in the CT Clippers Hockey organization coaching young athletes from learn to play through the tier 1 Bantam level. The last 5 seasons he has also been a head coach and recruiter for the AAA Atlantic All Stars spring hockey teams which complete against top US and international squads.
