97's Runner's Up in Boston Icemen IceBreaker
Team 97 wraps up an extremely successful 2007 season as runner's up to the
champions - Boston Junior Bruins - in a tight 4-3 final game at the Boston
Icemen IceBreaker Tournament in Marlborough, June 24.
Playing in four tournaments this season, the team captured two championship
titles (Outaouais Express and Montreal Minor World Championship) and two second
place finishes (Ronald McDonald and Boston IceBreaker) finishing up with an
impressive 21-4-1 record.
"To have the successes we've had and finish with such an outstanding record
is an amazing accomplishment for us. We are only a second year organization,
and to be competitive with teams that have been around upwards of 15 years like
the Junior Bruins and Detroit Little Caesar's (losing to each in one-goal
games), and beat others like the Boston Icemen, etc., is an indisputable
indication of this teams hard work, dedication, never say quit attitude," Coach
Corriveau pronounced, adding "I am so proud of the boys. Each and every one of
these kids gave me their all in every game. I thank them and I congratulate them
on their triumphant season!!"
Another great tournament was the perfect way to end the season on such a high
note! Congratulations and Thank You's go out to:
