Darren Seid grew up in Long Island, NY. After attending the University of Wisconsin, he returned to Long Island to enjoy his time giving back to the game. His youth career consisted of 2 Tier 1 New York State championship titles and a Tier 1 National Championship title. While playing Junior "A" hockey in the EJHL for the New York Apple Core, Seid was scouted to play at the University of Wisconsin. Darren's playing career came to a halt after a surgery led to him being sidelined before his collegiate career ever began.
